Aeronet delivers first-to-market, high-speed, low-cost Gbps connectivity by using proprietary software-defined, mesh network technology in underutilized, ubiquitous millimeter wave spectrum.

The Market Today

On-board connectivity in the maritime industry has been notoriously difficult – until now.

Current Wi-Fi speeds in the maritime industry are too slow and too expensive for today’s consumer. Typically, prices are not only a multiple of the terrestrial equivalent, they do not even offer commensurate service levels for the increased price. Further, there is a lack of network capacity to provide basic broadband speeds causing significant customer dissatisfaction.

To make matters worse, there will be a significant increase in demand from consumers adopting applications such as Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality uses (VR/AR). Demand for IOT solutions will grow significantly for on-board vessel service. Cruise operators and ferry passenger operations will see a burgeoning demand for operational e-Enablement services.

The current and most future competitive network delivery mechanisms cannot offer the capacity required to serve this future demand. Aeronet is full satisfy these market requirements with its highly innovative, low-cost solution.

The Solution

Our solution is a wireless point-to-point link spanning between the shore location on one side and on the ship/oil rig on the other side. This wireless point-to-point link follows the ship as it moves.

Our proprietary Scheduled Dynamic DataLink (SDDL) solution:

• Uses the scheduled and known movements of ships to form a living real time network between nodes.

• Takes the backbone transport methods that underpin 5G cellular sites and reinvents their point-to-point nature to work in dynamic environments.

• Dedicates wireless datalinks for each ship and ground station.

• Treats each vessel like a corporate office with easily scalable backbone levels of capacity.

• Allows our network to direct and shape beam patterns in real-time, thus enhancing high speed and stable datalinks.

What this means to our customers:

• Fully sufficient bandwidth for PAX and crew

• No satellite overage charges

• Lower $/Mbps

• Committed information rate speeds from 100Mbps to 1000mbps

• Seamless bundled VSAT service, where needed

• Upload speeds and ultra-low latency for today's cloud based Apps
